Difference between Shutdown, Hibernate, Restart, Stand by and Sleep
1. Shut down
This button is probably the most frequently used by computer users, meaning it is deadly. This means turning off all the components in the computer as a whole, such as RAM, Hard Drive, Processor and others, are disabled because the electricity is cut off. When the computer is turned on again it will take a long time because when Shut down RAM will be emptied, the Computer will load all operating systems when it is turned on again. Hibernate is almost similar to Shutdown which is turning off the computer as a whole the difference in hibernate before the computer is turned off the contents of memory or RAM copied to the hard drive first so that when the computer is turned on it does not take too long because the contents of RAM are already on the hard drive and will be taken back. Computer configuration will be saved so when you open the application before hibernating when the computer is turned on the application is also open (still there). 4. Stand By
In this condition the computer is not turned off completely, indeed all computer components are turned off or disconnected except memory (RAM) stand-by mode can be said to save energy because only RAM requires electricity.
